The role she played was that of a younger bride to the middle-aged actor (Shah Rukh Khan) in the film. The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka starred with Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang and Vir Das in the film Badmash Company. The film received mixed critiques. Anushka Sharma was the lead in the movie "Band Baaja Baraat. She played an Punjabi woman of middle class, who has her own wedding business. The movie got positive reviews. Anushka has completed her 3-film contract together with Yash Raj Films after Band Baaja Baaraat.
